Features:

  • Create quick rubrics for assessments
  • Search through a library for existing rubrics
  • Grade online and email scores
  • Can analyze score results

Prerequisites: Create an account. Has tutorials for how to create a rubric.

Intuitiveness: Simple use. Similar style of traditional rubrics but removes process of creating a table and text boxes for a rubric. Already has simple template.

An Alternative: https://rubric-maker.com/. Creates rubric for different types of assignments. Have to print off the rubrics.

Benefits:

Can create student reports and analyze their scores for all assignments that have been graded online. Teacher can keep track of student data which could be used in parent conferences or meetings with the students.

Drawbacks:

In order to keep student data, teacher must fill out rubric online. For students in lower grades, teacher would not have ability to email it to them. Teacher must print off rubric for student.

May only be suitable for upper elementary and above grade levels. Rubrics could be difficult for students at lower levels to understand. Works better for upper grades who have skill level to self monitor.

Conclusion:

Engagement: Allows for students to become active in their learning since they can grade themselves prior to submitting an assignement. Has students immersed in their work because they are given a check list to work through after completing rough draft of the assignment.

Enhancement: The students will be fully aware of their learning objectives throughout their assignment/lesson. They are aware of what is expected and how they should be working towards it.

Extension: There is not as much extension for this tool since it creates rubrics. However, teacher could have students bring rubric home to check over an assignment for homework or with the help of the parent.

How I would use ForAllRubrics it my classroom.

  • Student data would be recorded so that teacher can analyze all of student’s work and recognize and struggles or constant loss of points. Students take more responsiblity in their work and self correcting.
  • For parent teacher conferences or meeting with administration. By grading the rubric online it will be stored in “my class”. Teacher can refer to it when discussing a students grade or work with their parent.
  • Checklist feature could be use for students with executive function struggles. Checklist could be use in group projects or on a daily basis for time management for the teacher.
